Baby shower questions
When should a baby shower be held?
Four to eight weeks before the due date, typically on a weekend afternoon. Many families now hold it after the birth ('sip and see') when travel is easier.
When do baby shower invitations go out?
About four weeks before the shower, six if guests need to travel. Ask for RSVPs one week before the date.
Is it okay to put the registry on the invitation?
Yes. Unlike a wedding, gifts are the point of a baby shower, so the registry link or store goes on the invitation or an insert card.
What is a sprinkle?
A smaller shower for a second or third baby: close friends and family, lighter gifts (diapers, books), same planning timeline but shorter.
What should the wording include?
The guest of honour, date and times, venue, host names, an RSVP deadline, the theme or dress note and the registry. The wording generator fills all seven in.
