Wording questions

What has to be on a baby shower invitation?

Seven things: the guest of honour, the date and start/end time, the venue, the host's name, an RSVP deadline, the theme or dress note, and the registry.

How do I word a co-ed shower?

'Please join us for a couples baby shower honoring Emily & Daniel.' Mention food and drinks so partners know it is a party, not a tea.

How do I ask for books instead of cards?

One line at the bottom: 'In lieu of a card, please bring a book inscribed with a message for the baby.' The generator adds it for you.

Can I ask for diapers?

Yes, with a diaper raffle: 'Bring a pack of diapers for a chance to win a prize.' Keep the prize small and fun.

Should I mention gender?

Only if the parents want to. 'A sweet little one is on the way' works for everyone and matches gender-neutral palettes.
