Loading the Resize Image tool...
Your images are processed by your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your photos stay private and the tool keeps working even on a slow connection.
How to use the Resize Image tool
- Select or drop the images you want to resize.
- Choose By pixels or By percentage.
- Type the new width or height. With Keep the proportions on, the other side is worked out for you.
- Or pick a popular size such as Instagram post, Instagram story, YouTube thumbnail or A4 (300 dpi).
- Click Resize images and download them one by one or as a ZIP.
Why use this resize image tool
- Exact sizes. Get the precise pixel size a website, print shop or form asks for.
- No stretching. Keeping the proportions stops faces and logos from looking squashed.
- Sharp downsizing. Images are reduced in steps for a cleaner, sharper result than a single jump.
- Many at once. Resize a whole folder of product photos to the same width in one go.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize an image without losing quality?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it much bigger adds no new detail: for that, use the AI Upscale Image tool, which rebuilds detail.
What size is an Instagram post?
A square post is 1080 x 1080 px, a portrait post 1080 x 1350 px and a Story 1080 x 1920 px. They are all in the popular sizes.
How many pixels is A4 at 300 dpi?
A4 at 300 dpi is 2480 x 3508 pixels, the size most print shops expect for a sharp full-page print.
Can I resize by percentage?
Yes. Switch to By percentage and set, for example, 50% to halve both width and height.
Does resizing change the file format?
No. Your JPG stays a JPG and your PNG stays a PNG. Use Convert to JPG if you also want to change format.
